Just started.

Welcome to the world of Lydia Pendleton!

I've just begun this blog in hopes of getting people introduced to a new character in the world of literature. Well ... the world of mystery.

"First, let me tell you who I am. My name is Lydia Lillian Pendleton, III. Like my grandmother, I was named after my great, great grandmother Lydia L. Pendleton. She was an important and influential pioneer in the Northwest Territory. Everyone’s heard of the Pendletons ever since Portland, Oregon had become an established settlement."

Chapter One introduces us to our heroin, an affluent and recently widowed private detective. Her husband, Thomas Addison P. I., had unfortunately interviewed the wrong person at the wrong time and met with a tragic end.
In this first book of the series, Lydia, along with the support of her best friend, Susan Whindall, and her son, Scott Addison-Pendleton, a second year college student and software writer, tackles her first major case without the expertise and experience of her husband. A case that has the pesky habit of having more questions come up when answers to other questions are revealed.
A Russian Mafia mob boss puts her skills to the test by hiring her to find out who killed his brother. But in doing so, he also reveals secrets that lay beneath the streets of the Rose City. Secrets that had been there for more than a century.
He informs her that "There are more tunnels down there than anyone knows, and they were used for more than just Shanghaiing."

"File 3297: The Shanghai Tunnels"

More than mystery.
You'll think you know who did it.
You'll think you know why.

You won't!
