It's Read an Ebook Week @ Smashwords!

Read an Ebook Week is an international celebration of ebooks in which thousands of authors, publishers and retailers feature free and discounted ebooks to help promote the joys of e-reading to the world's readers.  Each year, Smashwords authors are the most active participants, and our store features the largest selection of participating titles.  It's a fun promotion, because the more the participating authors promote their involvement, the more readers then go on to discover new Smashwords authors.  It's writers-helping-writers at its finest.

And this year, The Pendleton Files will be participating. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to finish "TPF FILE 31410: Pioneer Courthouse Square" in time for it to be included in the celebration. But the good news is, for those who hadn't bought it yet, until midnight March 9, you can get "TPF FILE 3297: The Shanghai Tunnels" at 50% off by using coupon code REW50.
But this is only good at Smashwords.com. Just click anywhere you see either the word Smashwords, or FILE 3297 in this post to be taken the site to get your copy of The Pendleton Files' first book FILE 3297: The Shanghai Tunnels at half off.

The Ebook Celebration ends March 9th at midnight!

As always, thank you for your interest in The Pendleton Files and all comments are welcome.

Wicked Pissed!

I just checked to see which version of my book Smashwords' distributors are selling.

   I'm not happy.

To be honest, I don't know how far this goes. Maybe it's just Kobos. I just did a preview check on their website and found that after two weeks of getting it, they are not selling the correct version. I hope I don't have this problem when I publish the second book with BookTangent. I shouldn't, considering they're Penguin.

Okay. Everybody do me a big favor. If you want my book and not be disappointed by getting the fucked up version, then go to Smashwords directly. If want it for less, go to Barnes & Noble's Nook. Even less, go to Amazon. I think they're still selling it for 99 cents.

 As always. Comments are welcome.

Price Change @B&N, and Other S*tuff

In case you missed this update from yesterday:

" Due to the work I’ve done on improving the quality of “FILE 3297”, I increased its price at Barnes &Noble Nookstore to $4.99.
I kept the price at Amazon the same, $2.99. However, it’s been placed under a price cut of $2.00. It’s only .99 cents.

Now on to the other .... stuff.

I've reviewed all my sales figures for the last year ... lets just say it was not a very good start for The Pendleton Files. To sum it up without actually doing the math, from Smashwords, Barnes &Noble, and Amazon, my grand total came to somewhere in the neighborhood of ... (drum roll please) $14.00

This is why the second book isn't done yet. I'm laid off and dependent on Unemployment Benefits. Forgive  me if I don't make finishing FILE 31410 my priority. (Please note how I showed self-restraint by not ending that sentence with an exclamation point.)
