News About the Next Book & Holiday Wishes

First of all, Happy Valentines Day everyone. Now that's out of the way, on to more important stuff.

I've written 23 chapters and starting 24 today of FILE 31410. That's Chapter 24, not 24 more. Okay ... now ... this one is my second book and I think it's much better than the first. First it starts with an unexplained explosion of someone's head in the middle of Pioneer Courthouse Square, in front of witnesses. Then it turns out that, somehow, someone had actually murdered this guy and this guy was a scientist.

   What?!

   Wait there's more.

It seems as though this scientist might have been killed by an evil scientist. Mwahhahaha! [insert schemey hands here.]

Sorry ... can't tell you anymore. I'd love to, but ... you gotta buy the book.

   Darn!

Okay. I'm working on it, and editing as I go. There'll be no mistakes this time. Cross my heart and hope to die. Not really.

That's all I got for now. Stay tuned. The second book is getting done. Thank you for your interest in The Pendleton Files.

If you haven't bought the first book, here's some links: Barnes & Noble Nook, Amazon, & Smashwords.

As always, comments are welcome. I made it easier.

"FILE 3297: The Shanghai Tunnels" Update: Price Change at Amazon!

I don't know when it happened, but Amazon is no longer discounting my book, FILE 3297. It's now being sold at its regular price of $2.99.

Sorry if you missed out on the 99 cent deal. On the bright side, it's still the cheapest.

Barnes & Noble has it for $4.99
Everyone else (via Smashwords) : $7.99

As always, any comments are welcome.

Wicked Pissed!

I just checked to see which version of my book Smashwords' distributors are selling.

   I'm not happy.

To be honest, I don't know how far this goes. Maybe it's just Kobos. I just did a preview check on their website and found that after two weeks of getting it, they are not selling the correct version. I hope I don't have this problem when I publish the second book with BookTangent. I shouldn't, considering they're Penguin.

Okay. Everybody do me a big favor. If you want my book and not be disappointed by getting the fucked up version, then go to Smashwords directly. If want it for less, go to Barnes & Noble's Nook. Even less, go to Amazon. I think they're still selling it for 99 cents.

 As always. Comments are welcome.

Price Change @B&N, and Other S*tuff

In case you missed this update from yesterday:

" Due to the work I’ve done on improving the quality of “FILE 3297”, I increased its price at Barnes &Noble Nookstore to $4.99.
I kept the price at Amazon the same, $2.99. However, it’s been placed under a price cut of $2.00. It’s only .99 cents.

Now on to the other .... stuff.

I've reviewed all my sales figures for the last year ... lets just say it was not a very good start for The Pendleton Files. To sum it up without actually doing the math, from Smashwords, Barnes &Noble, and Amazon, my grand total came to somewhere in the neighborhood of ... (drum roll please) $14.00

This is why the second book isn't done yet. I'm laid off and dependent on Unemployment Benefits. Forgive  me if I don't make finishing FILE 31410 my priority. (Please note how I showed self-restraint by not ending that sentence with an exclamation point.)
